St Paul's - They preach a different Christ!
The Different Jesus Christ!
Paul, an Apostle of Jesus (c. AD 5 – c. AD 67), in the letter to Galatians says in Chapter 1 verse 6, I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: verse 7, Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. verse 8, But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. verse 9, As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

So what is the original Gospel that Paul the Apostle was referring to? lets get into that now.
Answers in Genesis seeks to give glory
and honor to God as Creator, and to affirm the truth of the biblical
record of the real origin and history of the world and mankind.
Part of this real history is the bad news that the rebellion of the first man, Adam, against God’s command brought death, suffering, and separation from God into this world. We see the results all around us. All of Adam’s descendants are sinful from conception, in the Psalms of David (Psalm 51:5) and have themselves entered into this rebellion (sin). They, therefore, cannot live with a holy God but are condemned to separation from God. The Bible says that “all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” ( Romans 3:23) and that all are therefore subject to “everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power” (2 Thessalonians 1:9).
But the good news is that God has done something about it. “For God so loved the world, that He gave his only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

People argue about how is it that Jesus
is the son of god? God is bigger and how can you ever refer him
fathering a child? Well to answer to that we turn to the Judaism, Islam
& Christianity for references.

Now,
- Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the prophecies of the Old Testament of the coming Redeemer.
- Jesus Christ is the Messiah.
- Jesus Christ lived a perfect sinless life for us. He conquered sin for us.
- Jesus Christ died for my sins, once and for all.
- Jesus Christ rose from the dead. He conquered death that I might have eternal life.
- Jesus Christ ascended to heaven where He is interceding for me. He tells me to stop sinning, yet if I do sin and repent, He is interceding his blood before the Father and will forgive me.
- Jesus Christ is coming back to take His people home to heaven.
God gave prophets most of the details
about the coming of Jesus Christ, so that Jesus could be clearly
identified when He arrived. In fact there were over 400 prophecies
written in the Old Testament talking about the coming Messiah. Please refer my article
For thousands of years, people looked forward to the coming of the promised Messiah, the one who would rescue them from their sins and the consequences of those sins. Jesus Christ was the fulfillment of these prophecies! Jesus was the long looked for Messiah!
The blood of Jesus Christ atoned for our
sins, yours and mine. For "without the shedding of blood there is no
forgiveness." (Hebrews 9:22) Jesus' blood was shed for the sins of all
people that "come to the foot of the cross" and ask for forgiveness of
their sins. "God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we
were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) Jesus became the
atonement for our sins.
But Jesus did not stay in the tomb. After resting in the tomb over the Sabbath, He rose on the third day (Sunday), just as He had foretold. The stone that covered the tomb was enormous (13' 2" in diameter and nearly 2 feet thick) and was held in place by a iron chain attached to two ~2 inch diameter iron pins in the rock of the tomb. The tomb was guarded by a large number of soldiers. But it didn't matter. The angel sent to release Him, tossed aside the tomb stone shearing off the iron pins, and called to Jesus to come forth. The life inherent in Jesus as the Son of God, brought Him back to life. Jesus rose from the dead. He conquered death for us, for you and me, so that we also might have eternal life.
Jesus showed Himself many times over the next 40 days to His disciples and other followers. Over 500 people saw Him at one time (1 Corinthians 15:6). Then while all His disciples were looking on, He began to ascend to heaven. And a cloud took Him from their sight. Two angels gave them this marvelous promise,

"Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you
stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken
from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen Him
go into heaven." (Acts 1:11)
Jesus told his disciples,
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. (John 14:1-3)
What a beautiful promise! Jesus has promised to come back to this earth and will take his people home with Him to heaven!

Many prophecies in the Bible (especially in the New Testament), give details of Jesus
Second Coming.
Jesus followers began spreading the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ.
That through Him, we might have our sins atoned for and might receive the eternal
life that that had been lost when Adam sinned. The good news that our
sins can be forgiven, that they can be blotted out of the record books.
What a sinner has to do is to:
What a sinner has to do is to:
- repent of (turn from) his sins, asking for God's forgiveness,
- acknowledge Jesus Christ as the promised Messiah and accept Him as his personal savior,
- be publicly baptized by immersion, symbolizing his death to sin and his resurrection with Christ into new life, get baptized in the holy spirit and be empowered with the gifts
- walk as Jesus would have him or her walk, in obedience to God's commands,
- spread the good news of salvation to others, leading them to also be disciples (followers) for God.
Just before his ascension, Jesus gave his disciples this commission:
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matt. 28:18-20This is what the Bible says and Paul says centuries before any alternate scripture was revealed.
